JIM DALLY was a bookseller and publisher who began his working life as a librarian. Jim and I first got to know each other in the early 1950s in the State Library of South Australia, and in the saloon bar of the Richmond Hotel when the ‘six o’clock swill’ still reigned.

AT THE SOCIETY’S general meeting held in Sydney on 4 March 2006, the Secretary-Treasurer initiated a discussion on whether the Society should reintroduce subscriptions and, if so, at what level.
The Grolier Club of New York is America’s oldest and largest bibliophilic society. The books listed above document exhibitions held at the Grolier from 2004-2006. Three of these exhibition catalogues are published by Grolier, while the two other travelling exhibitions, had separate publishers.
